About us

Small team. Shipped work.

WebNestLab is a two-developer studio based in Manchester. We build for independent businesses — the takeaways, builders and shops that big software companies ignore.

We started WebNestLab because local businesses get a bad deal online. Marketplace apps take double-digit commission from takeaways. Agencies sell five-page template sites for thousands. Off-the-shelf software forces businesses to work the way the software wants, not the way they do.

So we do it differently. We hand-code everything — PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and whatever else the job needs, down to Python bridges that drive receipt printers in live kitchens. No page builders, no plugins held together with tape.

And we prove it before you pay properly. Our ordering systems go into shops on a trial basis: real orders flow through, the owner compares the numbers with what marketplaces were costing them, and then we talk about a monthly fee — one that's a fraction of the commission they used to pay.

Everything on this website is real. Every project in the portfolio is something we built and delivered. If we haven't built it before, we'll tell you that too — and probably build it anyway, because that's how the portfolio grows.

No templates

Every line of code written for the job. That's why our sites are fast and our systems fit the business.

No lock-in

No contracts holding you hostage. Our systems earn their monthly fee or you walk away.

Your data is yours

Customers, orders, history — it all belongs to the business, not to us and not to a marketplace.

Phones first

Most of your customers are on a phone. Everything we build is designed on a phone screen before a desktop one.

The team

Who you'll actually be working with

No account managers, no middlemen. You talk to the people writing the code.
